Queena Charles is a Black Non-binary Femme born in Albany and raised Between the DMV ( Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia) and New York’s Capital Region. They are currently based in Schenectady and their work extends through the capital region into Saratoga county and along the east coast. Their work centers the most marginalized genders and eliminates barriers to improve their social determinants of health such as housing, transportation, access to education, etc,. Queena Charles as a Cofounder of The Black Abolitionist Directive has created an exceptional amount of mutual aid initiatives, protests, community gathering and conversations. through their lived experiences they have created and fostered long lasting and meaningful relationships with the community. Most known for their passion and unwavering determination to urge the community to “Get Excited” about the liberation of all people.
